finally got this guy 90% done ALL thats left is a re-paint!!!

The head of this fox was done by AdarkerNEMISIS and the rest done by me. :) He is a dakota gold with - get this- DOWN FEATHER STUFFING inside of him. So he is..very, very squishy, airy and so cuddly!!
Commissioner also wanted him poseable, including the tail, so we did that just now as she watched me do it. cx as well as set his ears how she wanted!!

heres some other cute photos: sta.sh/21bisg6g6zh1?edit=1 (stuffing him was a mess!! sta.sh/239d9yqm7dp?edit=1 )

Im getting things done!! Hooray!!V :faint:

he looks so fantastic! Every new mount I see by you keeps having better and better armature :) They have the anatomy of real living animals and not pillows with legs (like everyone whom doesn't know about taxidermy says they are)

I wonder... With the down, will he not have the same stuffing shift problems as a normal fox? I've never had a down pillow I couldn't just fluff up.

The only problem with down is the light weight of it; shifting could be an issue in the future, but as Mars said "Shake to reset". The weight, and looseness of the feathers will allow them freely move into the empty spaces with a good (gentle)shake, or (gentle) beat. It's like capillary action, but with feathers. XD

Down is also great because in the long run it will not clump like polyfill; it will stay loose, and fluffy.

Light weight? I've only ever had heavy down pillows. o.o Though that does seem like it'd work perfectly. XD
That's what I'm thinking.

Really? I am surprised. I always found down to be lighter than polyfilled ones. ^^

I sure hope it does! I am excited to see how it works out. :)
