Coyote Puppy Soft Mount by Nakomii Coyote Puppy Soft Mount by Nakomii
An ADORABLE little coyote puppy made for *Winterfaux :)

This coyote was sold to her while it was in my hands, so its hers now. xD This is one commission that took forever because the eyes never came in! When they did, they were slit pupil, gosh was i SO mad. So, i ordered more, and they got here. :) This is my first baby animal that i worked on.

Hand made this boys form, figured altering a grey fox would be useless. xD

Hes SO soft and really cute, gonna be hard to let him go!

Wow! This is one of the best taxidermy pieces I've ever seen! I love the eyes! You are an amazing taxidermy maker and you should be very proud of this little guy!

taxidermiests do not kill the animal, they either find a preserved already dead animal or one that just dies in a zoo, they mostly never kill this animal on purpose

No, not killed for taxidermy :) died from hunters usually who would trash the skin but we save it. And make them alive again in a way. :)

Wait, I thought hunters didn't kill pups?
Nakomii Featured By Owner Oct 21, 2014  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
They don't usually, since they like to keep generations going and healthy. But sometimes they end up in traps, and sometimes hunters mistake adolescent animals for adults because they can look very similar when their adult fur grows in.

Okay, I see. I don't agree with hunting, since I think it's ineffective (deer hunting, anyway) and it seems like the animals are just treated as things that should be controlled, but thanks for clearing that up!
